Romney, Rises To The Occasion!

  All I can say is if your were a conservative watching the National Republican Convention on your TV last night I would think that you would feel that you got your moneys worth! Some,  will argue that Clint Eastwood"s appearance was a bit over the top.I personally don't care the words he spoke were true. As Americans, we do own this country. The politicians, are our employees and they do work for every American,  and if a majority of Americans, should feel that an elected politician a president for instance has not  performed well in the job the American people elected that president to do then Eastwood, said the American,  people had the right to let him go.I will tell you if you saw his speech you know Obama, wasn't there bodily, but everyone knew Eastwood was saying it was time for Obama, to go!I will confess I am a Clint Eastwood,  fan and when he said Obama, had to be let go well , what can I tell you Clint Eastwood made my day!
  When Cuban American Florida Senator Marco Rubio, began to speak it seemed the entire convention hall literally came to life! Rubio talked about the struggles his father had had in Cuba, and how glad he was to make it to America. Rubio said his father worked for years behind the Banquet bar in the back of a room to insure that one day he could speak behind a podium in the front of the room and as he said this the room literally exploded with applause.Rubio,  reminded potential voters that Barack Obama's message of hope and change had turned this nation into a place where hope is hard to find and Obama's message had gone from hope and change to divide and conquer. Rubio, reminded Americans, that America, was still the place where dreams come true, by the time he finished his speech, the entire audience was on their feet he then introduced Mitt Romney,
  Without a doubt, this was the most important speech Mitt Romney, was ever going to make in his political life up to this pint, everyone was wondering would Romney, rise to the occasion? Well all I can tell you is in my opinion he most assuredly, did! Romney,  accepted his parties nomination for President. He then took everyone in the convention hall as well as the millions who were watching in their homes on TV on a journey through his life. Romney,  talked about how great and kind his father was and when he told the audience that his mother had learned of his fathers death because his daily rose was strangely absent on her pillow one morning Romney,  fought to hold back tears and their wasn't a dry eye in the room! Romney said in America, no person has to apologize for their success. I found my self quite impressed with Romney's speech he said Obama promised in 2008 to slow the rising  oceans and heal the plant, Romney,  promised he would help America's families.I can only conclude that it seems to me the only thing Obama, has manage to slow is this nations economy to a virtual stand still and the only thing he has managed to build is the nations national debt! I also enjoyed it when Romney, said,  it was okay,  if you voted for Obama, on election day in 2008 because  his platform of hope and change was very appealing then but he said,  you knew something was wrong in America when the last time you had a good feeling about Obama, was the day you voted for him! I will confess, to me that line in Romney's speech was priceless!
  Beyond the one liners and the catchy phases however,  what Romney,  managed to do was inspire trust in the American people I was left with the feeling that Americans could trust him and that he would truly help America's families. Admittedly,  their were times when Romney, reminded me of Ronald Reagan, and I found my self saying, I think it's morning in America, once more. Ryan, Renews Hope In The Furture Of America.

  Just like millions of conservative Americans,  last night I found myself completely mesmerized by the exhilarating speeches I heard as I watched the  National Republican Convention on the FOX News channel.I was particularly impressed with Governor Susana Martinez. I confess, until I heard her speech last night I did not know she was the governor of New Mexico and the first Hispanic governor in the United States. I was impressed how she encouraged every one to stand up and say and do what is right even if there may be political consequences.in her case she was fired but she ran against her boss in the next election and took his job as State District Attorney. I 'll confess,  I'm not fond of colorful or blunt language. I have to admit however when she went to dinner with her husband with some republicans only to find she was indeed a republican herself it was funny when she told the delegates at the convention that she turned to her husband and said " I'll be damned we're republicans!" Although I would not have used those words her meaning was clear opportunity is never just handed to you but if your willing to work for it anything is possible even if your from a different culture in America,  you too can have the American,  dream.
  Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice,  also used this basic principal in her speech she made the statement that it is not important where a person starts out in life, what is important is where your going.This basic truth is the fundamental essence of what it means to live in America. Condoleezza Rice, had the audience spellbound as she told them about her life as a little girl growing in Birmingham Alabama during the days of southern segregation. She told the delegates there that even though she wasn't allowed to sit at the counter at Woolworth's and eat a hamburger her parents still convinced her she could still grow up and become the President Of the United States. Well,  she did become Secretary of State  and who knows, she may indeed run for presidency of this great nation and be the second African American,  to become President of the United States and at this point she could be the first African American woman to be come president The point she was trying to make is simple no matter what your back ground or circumstances may be when you start out in life in America, if one is willing to work hard enough one has the  potential to achieve anything. I am happy to report to you that basic and fundamental truth is still true!
  Without question however, Vice President hopeful Paul Ryan,  gave the speech of the night. he talked about the love he had for his father and the admiration he had for his mother and he told how she started her own business after the death of his father and found her own version of success. There were many zingers in Ryan's speech I enjoyed what he said to out of work college students who had perhaps voted for Obama in 2008, He said there were now  many college students who may have even graduated that now find themselves still living at home with their parents stuck looking at now faded Obama,  posters unable to get started in life Ryan pulled no punches as he told the audience Obama' time had came and went and that Obama's attempt to continue to live on the past glory of 2008 was like trying to sail a ship on yesterday's wind. I had to agree with Ryan. What Ryan, quite masterfully, managed to do was restore the belief  that America,  as a nation had began her way back to personal freedom and responsibility relying on God,  and not government for America's future. I found my self thinking that maybe, just maybe if Romney and Ryan can manage to get elected it just might be Morning in America, once again. Getting To The Heart Of What Matters.

  I watched the Republican National Convention,  last night. I have to tell you my eyes were glued to my TV. As I listened to Mia Love's speech as she told President Obama, that the American people were no longer buying what he was trying to sell them I found my self saying," You go girl!" I also found former democrat and Obama supporter Artur Davis,  to be a bit of political fresh air. He said,  it was time to look past all the political hype that had been so much a part of Obama's 2008 campaign and concentrate on what we really need in America,  right now some serious job creation! I confess to you that I am so glad that these two brave and up coming African American stars,  in the Republican Party.  clearly demonstrate that not every African American,  chooses to blindly  follow the policies of Barack Obama, just because he is the first African American,  to be elected president.I am glad to see that there are some African American,  who choose to think for themselves!
  Listening to Ann Romney, last night was a blessing from Heaven. Without question,  no one  doubts that Mitt Romney,  is very smart and has learned through years of experience and a lot of hard work what it takes to be successful in the corporate world. There was never any doubt that Mitt Romney, had a brain for business but Mrs Romney's speech showed each and every American,  who heard her speech last night that Mitt Romney, had a heart for people who knew the pain of economic difficulty.I have no doubt that many who heard Ann Romney's speech consider it the best speech of the night and perhaps the best speech of the entire convention.
  Just as Mrs Romney's speech gave Americans,  a look inside Mitt Romney's heart so it was that Governor Cris Cristie's speech got to the heart of the stark choice Americans face as the contemplate who to vote for in the next election. Some,  thought Cristie's speech lacked a bit of his usual luster. I was left with the impression however, that he just chose to speak rather plainly from his heart about the choice Americans,  must make not only for the next election but for the future of the next generation.  Christie,  basically said,  if Americans,  choose to reelect Obama, then they choose to be selfish and are content to continue  letting the government provide everything for them then Americans,  choose to think of only themselves  at the expense of their  children and grandchildren.  He even suggested,  most grandparents,  would be willing to make some necessary sacrifices for the future of the grandchildren. Christie,  wasted no time entertaining his fellow republicans with at times colorful blunt and rather frank personality. He choose instead to concentrate on telling the American,  people the truth.He said if Americans,  were willing to make the hard choices now they  could guarantee that their grandchildren  would continue to have a future in America.Christie made it clear however,  that choosing to do nothing would guarantee all people would  be able to tell their  grandchildren was what life in America,  used to be like. Christie laid out the choice every American,  must make government hand outs now at the cost of America's future generations or sacrifice now to make sure America will have future generations.At the end of Christie's speech I felt that he had gotten to the heart of what matters concerning America's future not just in the the next four years but for America's future generations to come. Work Is Part Of Self Respect.

  There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment one experiences after an honest days work.I remember my first real job was a carry out or a bag boy at a local grocery store in my hometown. I remember I made top wages two dollars and thirty  cents an hour. I remember getting my first paycheck there sure wasn't much left after Uncle Sam,  got his part of it come to think of it there still isn't even today. I grew up in a Christian,  home so that meant ten percent of my check went into the offering plate at church. the forty dollars I had left however was all mine I had earned it it was mine.I was so proud of my self I was able to save some money for college and for the first time I felt like an adult and even my father told me I was no longer a boy I was working and helping  out the family I was saving I was taking responsibility for my future. Therefore, in the eyes of my father I was a man now and he treated me as such and told me since I was a working man now I could set my own hours in other words I no longer had a house curfew as long as I called mom and told her where i was and when i thought I would be in and I only had to do this if I was going to be out past mid night I wasn't very often but it was really kind of cool that my folks trusted me because I was working and helping my family with some of their needs and learning to be a responsible adult.
  That's why I am worried for America,  today it seems that more and more of her citizens are content to depend on the government for everything.I realize some folks have earned their Social Security,  benefits and they have therefore retired. I realize their are those who are disabled and cannot work . I understand this and have no problem with it. I don't even mind if a person finds themselves between jobs and needs some unemployment or food stamps until they can find another job.The key word here is between jobs! I know it's hard to find work right now. I also know however, that their are those who are content to take a government hand out instead of working a job that they consider to be beneath them. I hope Americans,  have not gotten so dependant on government that they would rather take a government check that often requires no effort on their part as opposed to taking a job that may require some hours of good old fashioned hard work. All I know is money earned through honest labor gives a person a feeling of self worth and a true sense of self respect and to me it's still pretty gratifying to make money  the old fashion way like they used to say in that old Smith Barney, commercial  remember? " We make money the old fashioned way we earn it."Thomas Paine, warned against giving government to much influence in the lives of Americans,  he said the following;"It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from it's government.The Bible,  says,  in the book of Acts,  if you don't work you don't eat. Finally, there is a reason I think why self respect and respect from others is a lot like money both of then need to be earned! What Lessons, Can Hurricane Isaac Teach?

  I just like many other Americans, have been watching the news to see just how bad Hurricane Isaac is going to be not only for all those who find themselves in the path of the storm but I also wonder how it will affect the Republican National Convention in Tampa. The convention has lost a day but I believe the organizers there did the right thing . Safety, must always come first. I think the Republican Party, will manage to nominate Mitt Romney, and whatever  is needed or whatever, the  goal may be  as it relates to the message he wants to deliver to the American,  people will be accomplished and his message will be heard. Now,  the only question is, will the message register with the American,  people? I suppose time will soon tell if Americans,  were listening.
  Just as Hurricane Isaac,  looms over the Gulf Coast,  right now their is an economic hurricane that looms over the entire nation. Americans, need to realize this we dare not be coddled and placated by fuzzy feeling words or slogans that mask liberal lies! Teddy Roosevelt, said, " If you want to annoy a conservative, lie to him. " If you want to annoy a liberal, tell them the truth." Well, I'm going to tell all who may read these words the truth at least as I see it and as I believe to be.I wish the truth was pretty but it is not. The nations economy is faltering and trying hard not to collapse. The nation's  debt is now 16 trillion dollars and still growing.and if Obama,  gets reelected in four years you will see a national  debt easily over 20 trillion dollars. Obama, has  already asked Greece, not  to abandon the euro until after the election because this action will cause global economic disaster.The middle east,  is a tender box about  to explode and begin a third world war.On the first day of 2013 if no changes  are made every American,  or at least those who pay taxes will experience a massive tax increase and the biggest cut in the size of the nations military since World War II.
  The good news is there is still time to avert this economic hurricane all that Americans,  have to do is choose to elect Romney and Ryan, and I can assure you that these events will at least have a much better chance of never coming to pass.Now,  it's up to the American, people they can choose to keep listening to liberal lies and risk eternal disaster or they can heed the truth and elect Romney and Ryan and give the nation at least a chance for a rebirth and the bright hope of a future. The Steps Of A Good Man.

  Psalm 37:23 says," The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord  and he delights in his way." On July 20, 1969 American,  astronaut Neil Armstrong, became the first man in history to walk on the moon and utter the now memorable quote, " One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."I don't know a great deal about Neil Armstrong, he wasn't one to stay long in the spot light but from what I have heard on the news as it was being reported that he had died it seems those that knew him said he was a very humble man who never truly knew just how great he was and when  one  thinks  about it, isn't that true of all great people others, may know how great they are but they never do. I often wonder how many young men grew up and became astronauts because they were inspired by the accomplishment of Neil Armstrong. What Armstrong's accomplishment did for Americans,  in 1969 is still being experienced today. When Armstrong,  walked on the moon he gave Americans,  a much needed moment of hope. The nation was in the middle of the Vietnam War and the strife brought on from the war caused a cultural civil war between older Americans and the youth of the day.When Armstrong,  landed  and walked on the moon however, it seemed for a moment the nation was united and once again Americans,  could believe that if everyone could work together with enough skill and a strong will and determination anything was possible. I believe that is still true if Americans, believe in and remember who it is that makes all things possible. God,  is the author of inspiration and he is the spark in imagination and the foundation of genius even if at times much of mankind,  refuses to acknowledge his existence.
  I'm afraid  that over the years since man first walked on the moon  Americans, have become at times to confident in their own devices God,  has blessed this nation but with year after year of  successful technological advancement many living  in American society today,  don't feel the need for God,  as they once did when this nation was in it's early development.Americans,  need to remember America,  is a nation under God,  and as such all of her blessings  come from him. Therefore, whatever new steps America, takes as a nation Americans, should see to it that they have looked to God,  for his guidance because the steps of a good nation are indeed ordered by the Lord. What's In A Name?

  You know, a name sometimes, says a great deal about a person. Parents,  know the importance of having a good name.The Bible,  stresses the advantages of having a good name and because it does, lets face it there are just some names no thoughtful parent would ever  name their children. I can't imagine any parent,  wanting to name their child Judas, Adolf Attila, Why? These names bring certain things to mind when spoken because the people who held these names did some very terrible things in human history. Judas, betrayed Christ, with a kiss if fact that single act is often called the kiss of death. Adolf Hitler, is directly responsible for the murder of six million Jews during the Holocaust,  in World War II.Attila the Hun,  is known for his numerous merciless raids of Roman cities where he often killed every living person in a city including men women children and even small babies.As one can clearly see then,  not many parents would ever name their children after these horrible men.
  As terrible as these men are in the pages of history if I name certain sports figures they may not be terrible on a personal level but as soon as I say their names negative feelings will be generated in the mind of  the average sports fan. Let's try a few, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Mark Mcgwire, Lance Armstrong. All of these men were great in their chosen sport at one time that is until they were accused or down right caught cheating. Now,  all of their sports records, as great as they may have appeared mean nothing! Because these men chose in one way or another to cheat  and give themselves an unfair advantage now one can never know for sure the true existent of these men's athletic greatness their character however is clearly defined.
  With regards to Lance Armstrong,  by choosing to no longer fight the steroid charges against him and as a result having the seven consecutive Tour De France medals recended will always appear  to be guilty of steroid use. The public, by enlarge, seems to realize an innocent man should have nothing to hide and should be more than willing to clear his name no matter how long it takes or what the cost may be a person's  good name reflects their  character it is who they are. A cheater, by any other name their conduct remains, just as disappointing and their condemnation just as everlasting. As always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.

Personal Freedom, Is Getting Really Personal!

  Not too long a go,  my daughter, ask me a question I'm still trying to find the answer to.She asked me this question, "Daddy, with everybody shooting every body is everybody going to have to start carrying a gun? I told her that I hoped not but I just couldn't say for sure.Today, in New York,  a man got fired from his job and in anger and seeking revenge he killed his boss and at least two other people and injured several others whose only crime was they happened  to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.I know the first thing the liberal progressives will want to do is bash the constitution and the second amendment. I am not for taking a way a person right to bear arms.You can bet that if the government took every citizens gun a way then criminals would buy and sell  guns on the black market and then be free to rob and kill unarmed citizens at will.What I am wondering however,  is there going to come a time in America,  when everyone will have to carry some type of gun? I Know in parts of California, a citizen,  may carry a gun as long as it has been registered and is worn in plain sight.
  I hate to imagine a scenario like this but think about it if  you go to the movies you could get shot.What about if you want to go to your church wait... no that's not safe either.One certainly, can't walk into a bank for you can defiantly get shot there.Now, it seems a persons place of employment isn't really safe because some one may get fired and start shooting up the place.Heaven knows, sending children to school is a risk and there is certainly, no guarantee  they wouldn't get shot there. So, whats the answer?Are Americans,  going to have to have armed security guards every place we go? Security guards,  can't be everywhere. Once again I ask will the day ever come in America,  when every citizen will have to carry some type of a gun for there own protection?
  Killing people out of anger, is certainly nothing new it's been going on since Cain,  in anger killed his brother Able,  in the book of Genesis. I have just noticed recently that personal freedom and security is getting much harder to maintain in American,  society. Perhaps,  if Americans,  remembered  the author of personal freedom certain tensions and hostile attitudes in American,  society could  begin to change I  mean,  there was a time in this country when  children could walk home safely from school. Many folks,  in the small town where my mother grew up people didn't even lock their doors at night but I am afraid, those days from yesterday,  are long gone.These words, from Ben Franklin,  seem to express how true freedom should be. Franklin, said, the following;"Freedom, is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but  a right that belongs to us by the laws of God,  and nature."I pause to ponder this question, if America, as a nation,  continues to refuse to retain God,  in the daily conduct of everyday life in American,  society today and as a result, mans basic nature continues to grow worse and worse, then,  I believe the day may indeed come when each citizen,  may feel the need to take up arms  for the own protection. I hope I am wrong about this, but I do know when a society loses it's moral compass,  the value of human life becomes so cheep that a society soon lays in ruin. I pray America, will return to God,  for he can change our society, restore our values and heal our nation. As always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.

Whatever Happened To The Honor Of The Presidency?

  I am constantly amazed,  how President Obama,  has lowered the honor of  the office of the president. Here  is a man,  who spends  more time running to be reelected president,  than actually running the country and being president! Sometimes, I think Obama, thinks being president is a lot like interviewing  for Jay Leno's job on The Tonight Show.The problem is this nation has some serious problems and telling a few jokes or hanging out with Hollywood celebrities,won't solve any of them!
  The office of the president,  should be taken very seriously and viewed as a position of sacred honor. Obama, has turned the office of  the president, into a total joke. The problem is many Americans,  may be laughing but not all the way to the bank because America, is economically bankrupt! The nation's debt is rapidly approaching 16 trillion dollars. Obama,  has run a trillion dollar federal  budget  deficient for four years now. The Congressional Budget Office, has already warned our leaders in government that they cannot say how much longer the nation's economy, can sustain such overwhelming debt.Americans, must take a stand and speak out about the impending financial doom America, faces,  Americans, must not be afraid to speak up. I am reminded of these words from Abraham Lincoln, he said the following;"To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men."
  Americans, if they choose, can just keeping listening to Obama, it seems the president,  can more easily be found laughing it up on Entertainment Tonight, or one of the late night talk shows or you might see him on TV out on the campaign trail. One place it seems he cannot be found much  these days is in the Oval Office which is the one place I feel he should be.However, if most Americans,  prefer Obama's empty promises which hold no promise for the future of this nation as opposed to sound responsible financial  reason which may save the nations future, then I'm afraid Americans, will have become the kind of people talked about in II Timothy 4:3 the passage reads as follows; "For the time will come when men will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lust they shall heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."Americans, will either choose responsible government and  financial discipline or they can keep on joking and laughing it up with Obama, but they won't find themselves laughing all the way to the bank because America, is nearly bankrupt. Where Americans, will find themselves however, is laughing all the way over the economic embankment that will plunge this nation into  financial ruin. as always, my friends these thoughts remain, just some words, to think on.
 

Akin, Is Forsaken!

  Missouri Rep Todd Akin,  is a man who has discovered almost over night what it feels like to be totally forsaken. High ranking members of the Republican Party,  have already ask Akin,  to drop out of the race for Missouri's Senate seat currently held by Senator Claire Mccaskill. Without question,  Akin's remarks concerning the act or rape were  totally without thought and completely inexcusable. He did apologize for his remarks but it appears, the political damage has been done I am almost in awe at the speed at which the republicans have forsaken Akin. I am reminded of these words from the Bile during Christ, crucifixion when the Bible,  says,  Christ disciples  all forsook him and fled.Vice President Biden,  makes a verbal mistake almost evey five seconds yet all the democrats,  still gather around him and defend his every statement.Today, it seems Akin, can't even buy a friend no one in conservative politics wants any thing to do with him.
  I have been known from time to time to say something in a moment of bad judgement. that later I lived to regret and when that happens all I can do is ask God,  to forgive me and  those I've offended for their forgiveness.
  God,  can forgive Todd Akin, but that  task will be  much harder for the members of the Republican Party. as well as the Missouri voters. Akin, must know that if he stays in the race for Missouri's senate seat and as a result Senator Claire Mccaskill,  is reelected wiping out republicans chances to retake the Senate, Akin, could never show his face in conservative politics again. He seems, for now at least willing to take that risk. I am a poet from time to time and the following words sum up what I think Akin's political fate will be they are as follows; Todd Akin is forsaken though he regrets his foolish words and feels absolutely rotten, Akin, is forsaken and soon he'll be politically forgotten. Not All Media, Matters!

  As a Christian,  and as a patriot, I don't appreciate it when any organization attempts to degrade Americans,  who serve in the military.These patriots,  who volunteered to serve their country and  carry out direct orders  from our Commander and Chief,  President Obama, do so asking no questions with rapid efficiency and often without one word of thanks! That's why when I hear some politically paid idiot from Media Matters,  whose opinions are bought and paid for by the ultimate communist George Soros, say, that certain members of the Navy Seals,  many of whom are conservative republicans, are gutless, because they have a sincere concern for this nations international security and wish to stop government leaks from the White House,my patriot blood begins to boil!
  Obama, is certainly willing to take credit for a successful mission to kill Bin Laden and it's true he made the call but the Navy seals accomplished the mission! I can call the fire department if I see a house is burning, and if the house survives I can take credit for calling the fire department but it is the fireman who deserve the real credit because they put out the fire.Media Matters, a name,  which I think in it's self is a contradiction in terms is nothing but a political cess pool of ignorance. Thomas Jefferson,  warned of such ignorance in a conversation with Charles Clancy, in 1803.Jefferson, said, the following;"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." Media Matters,  tries  to keep many in this nation politically ignorant to help foster George Soros, and Obama's liberal socialist agenda. I believe Americans, are beginning to wake up and see where Obama wants this nation to go I hope many Americans, will join me on election day and vote Obama, out of office this will show the liberals most Americans,  are not ignorant of their agenda and it will show very clearly that George Soros, and his  Media Matters,  organization is one media out let that truly doesn't matter and never will! Americans, Have A Clear Choice To Make.

  Without question,  the next election will shape America's moral and economic destiny.I an often remind of these words from Jesus, in the Bible. He said no man can serve to masters and he likened the masters to God or money. I believe the same can be said for our nation. Here is what I mean if the majority of Americans want a form of government to provide everything for them then President Obama will easily win reelection. On the other hand, if most Americans,  believe in self reliance and wish to continue enjoying the benefits that come from taking personal responsibility for ones personal freedom and economic success I believe Romney is the better choice.
  Obama,  often goes around congress an puts his agenda in motion through executive order and in affect acts as a king. Make no mistake Obama,  wants Americans, to be totally,  dependant on government for every thing and we are nearly there even now.Should America, reelect Obama, then Obama,and government will become a king and Americans,  will have to be his most obedient subjects. Kings then consider themselves to be in power by Divine right. Obama through the power of big government in a sense becomes God. I for one serve the God,  of heaven I will serve no man or government as God,  on earth. Thomas Paine, said it this way,"The cause of America in great a measure is the cause of all mankind. Where some say, is the king of America? I'll tell you, friend, he reigns above." I echo these words from Thomas Paine, I want a government that knows true from comes from God and each person is free and answers to God,  alone.
  Americans,  have a stark and clear choice to make. Personal responsibility and personal  freedom given by God and used to guide this nation this is Romney and Ryan's path or Total dependence on government which will ultimately destroy personal responsibility and personal freedom and government will be come a king and act in a since as God on earth. What choice will Americans make? One thing  is sure,  we'll know in November. As always, my friends, these words remain,just, some words to think on.

A Blessed Assurance Indeed.

  One of the first things I learned as a Christian,  was just how imperfect I was. I became a Christian,  at a very early age. I have not always walked as close to the Lord as I should have.I realize no one deserves or can earn salvation Ephesians 2:8-9 says,"For by grace are ye saved through faith it is the gift of God. not of works lest any man should boast." Sometimes I know Jesus, is not very proud or pleased with me. I am amazed just how far a Christian, can wonder a way from God,  and yet, still be a Christian. I have pushed those boundaries at various times in my life so much so in fact I wondered if I needed to be saved again! Sometimes,  I am terrified  I will die and wake up in Hell and God,  will say,"Depart from me I never knew you." I found out that my dear mother had this same fear at one time and so I ask her how she found complete peace  and that blessed assurance regarding our souls salvation in Christ, that we as Christians, often sing about in church. She said,  these words, God,  through accepting salvation through  his son Jesus Christ,  does not keep our sin and remember it to use it against us. Christians,  because we are human commit sin in our carnal flesh and often we cannot forget or forgive ourselves God,  through Christ,  forgave all sin and paid the price for all sin so when we as sinners receive Christ,  our sin cannot be remembered against us any  more.We still sin but when we confess our sin,  we're not paying for them again we are just acknowledging to God,  that we know it was sin and thanking him that he has forgiven us this then restores our fellowship with Christ,  in our daily walk as a Christian.
  My mother,  told me to remember this very important fact concerning my souls salvation God,  does not keep your sin they are all forgiven what God,   through Christ,  keeps is your soul. When she said this these verses in Romans 8:35-38-39 took on a whole new meaning for me the passages reads  as follows; "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?Will tribulation or distress or persecution, or famine or nakedness, or peril  or sword?" Paul,  first poses this question, in Romans 8:35 and then goes even further draws this wonderful conclusion when he states the following in Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels  nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor heighth nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus." I therefore,  can now conclude if God,  because I have received Christ,  as saviour is strong enough to forgive my sin and save me from hell he is also strong enough to keep my soul safe with him. Thus,  I am free to live my life knowing that he is daily guiding my path knowing, at the moment of my death that God,  will guide my soul safely home to be with him in heaven oh what blessed assurance this wonderful truth is for those who know Christ. Just Let Small Business Breathe Please!

  You have no doubt heard the expression, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Well, many thoughtful and caring children are trying to do just that by having the National Lemonade Day.  Apparently,  there are a good number of wonderful causes that children are staring lemonade stands to raise money for this sounds like a very good idea. Many of the causes are certainly noble enough. One would certainly think that liberals would be all for this idea. Liberals,  however,  also love big government. Government,  loves small business regulation. Therefore, if your neighbors kid down the street opens up their own lemonade stand they  better make sure they  have a permit to do so. The government wants to make sure that Johnny and Suzie down the street aren't selling the public tainted lemonade. All I know is I drank lemonade from my neighbors lemonade stand in my neighborhood  when I was a kid and I'm still here. I haven't heard any reports in the news about folks selling tainted lemonade and frankly, I don't think I really ever will.
  So, what's going on here? I believe what we have here is government in the name of health and human safety are trying to regulate lemonade stands by requiring the purchase of the permit as a means to get a piece of the profits raised by the lemonade stands. I no long wonder why small businesses are having a difficult time in their day to day operations. The truth is,  if the government wants to regulate a child's lemonade stand what chance does a small business have?I have talked  to several small business owners and they all say it's hard enough to start a business and get an idea off the ground with the government regulating a business to death!
  Since when did we the people let government have so much power? The founding fathers warned us a bout letting government grow to powerful. Thomas Jefferson, always stressed the importance of limited government. Sometimes since our government often acts like a king that answers to no one, I wonder if it isn't time for another American revolution. Hopefully we will have one of sorts in the voting booth with the election in November.I also ponder this question, if government can regulate a lemonade stand what else can they regulate? Can the government tell us what cereal we can buy? Can the government tell us what car we can drive? Can the government tell us what house we can live in? Can the government tell us what we will believe and therefore what church we will go to, if we are permitted to go to church at all. Could it get this bad ? Yes, but only if we the people remain silent and complacent and let it happen!We have the right to remain silent but that doesn't mean we should always use it. There is a time to speak up and if the American people don't speak up soon I think one day government will see to it that Americans,  forever hold their peace. Finally, if you see a kid in your neighbor with a lemonade stand selling lemonade today, buy a big glass for me! As always, my friends, these thoughts remain just,  some words, to think on.

American Success, Is Not For The Lazy.

  My daughter,  started back to school today. She enjoys going to school but getting her up and out of bed in the morning sometimes well, that's a different story. When she finally makes it out the door for school I remind her to do her best in school and to remember to work hard and avoid the temptation of laziness.She does very well in school and I want it to stay that way after all success does not come to the lazy.
  The truth is,  it  will always be easier to be lazy thus, it will always be harder generally, to work for success, those who achieve success however will tell you it is well worth the effort.I fear that there  are those in this country who want success and all the privileges that come with it yet, they would  would demand that it  be handed to them on a silver platter with no effort on their part. I know there  are some who may be born into  a wealthy family but that doesn't necessarily mean they grew up to be lazy Mitt Romney and  Donald Trump,  are good examples of those who chose  not just to bask in the success of their parents.The fact is if  you want to experience success in this country your going to have to work for it. Despite what Obama, may say no one can do that for you. your going  to have to build success for yourself. Many small businesses across this nation owe their success to their own hard work.I have noticed many of them are letting Obama,  know that they did build their  own business and thus, they have earned their success. America,  is the land of the free but everything we have here in America, is not free some working American  some where paid for it. The first  rule in basic economics is there is no such thing as a free lunch.I know there will always be those who cannot work and for those folks Americans,  have always been more than willing to help them.but there will also be those who prefer an easy hand out as opposed to a chance to work for a hand up.Those who have this philosophy will never experience real satisfying success nor should they.
  Christians,  understand the importance of having a work ethic. Provers 6:6 says,"Go to the ant thou sluggard consider her ways and be wise." This country,  was not established by following the philosophy of the lazy. I found these words from Samuel Adams,  to be quite enlightening they are as follows;"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace.We seek not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." Some how, I just don't think Samuel Adams,  thought very much of those who chose  a simple existence as long as it took no effort yet, I am afraid there are many in America,  today,  that even if they could work for a better life they are too lazy to put put in the effort that is required. Those who feel this way need only to reelect Obama,  and he'll be happy to see to it that government will do everything for you, all it will cost you is your personal freedom and they ability  to think for yourself and thus shape your own destiny personally, I think that price is too high. The Fight For Freedom Is Not For The Timid.

  I learned along time ago that if one decides to stand up for the basic freedoms that I believe were given to all of humanity by God, .taking such a stand would most assuredly guarantee that I would face opposition from those who held a more secular and liberal point of view.I have been writing for a while now and I have had some interesting discussions with some liberals,  that were not always civil or pleasant. Like many fellow patriots,  there are days when in a moment of frustration I can grow weary fighting the good fight of faith and freedom. Some,  have already expressed to me that America,  is beyond saving suggesting then that the secularist,  have already won the great cultural war for the heart and soul of America. Some,  have suggested, that I should just give up and accept the fact that America,  is destined to be come a secular progressive nation. I will admit their are days when I am tempted to give up but then. I look into the precious and innocent eyes of my daughter and I remember why I must fight!
  Christian  patriots,  take heed to my words the godless, liberal progressives,  have indeed grown strong over the last sixty years or so and perhaps,  churches all across the nation have been silent for too long. I say now to Christian conservatives,  everywhere across this nation take a stand for traditional Christian,  values and FIGHT! I very firmly believe the days of America's freedom are indeed numbered unless Christian patriots,  take a stand and fight for the future of this nation. Freedom,  is an idea that is worth fighting for President John Adams,  knew this and he expressed his thoughts regarding the value of freedom in the following words."The jaws of power, are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched  out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking,  and writing." Adams,  knew that any government left unchecked by the people, would grow too hungry  for power and then such a government would demand that the people surrender their basic individual freedoms because only government could   provide what was needed for the people. I believe that is the type  government the secular progressive liberals,  in this country want all Americans,  to have. I have decided I will fight and speak out even if such a fight could one day cost my life because without freedom,  for me,  there is no life not for me,  not for my wife,  not for my daughter,  not for anyone. I  have decided,  that if America, falls one day if I must die let me die keeping the faith and defending freedom for I would rather die knowing my life meant something,  than live in a secular nation in so called government security but without God,  and freedom of thought.
  Christian,  if you grow weary in the fight for continued freedom remember this passage found in I Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Take courage Christian patriots,  all across this land and continue in the fight to preserve faith and freedom in this nation your children are counting on you. Will The President, Be Abiding With Joe?

  Okay, we've all done it at some time or another we have all said things we wish a million times we could take back after all we are only human and everyone makes mistakes right? The problem the president has with Joe Biden however,is serious one. Some people may misspeak from time to time but for Joe Biden, this problem it seems is an everyday event.When I heard our nations Vice President, on a campaign stop in Virgina, imply that Romney wanted to unchain  Wall Street and then further imply that Romney's financial policies would keep certain listeners in his audience many of whom were African American in chains my first thought was doesn't this guy know where he is? Doesn't he know who he's talking to? I then remembered this is Joe Biden we"re talking about here and this guy seldom knows where he is at  any time!
  I can almost hear Obama back at the White House saying "Whoops! he did it again!" "I just don't know what to do with him." "Seems you can dress him up but you can't take him anywhere!"
  Some wonder if the president will keep the Vice and believe me,  this guy puts the vice in Vice President on the democratic reelection ticket. Some have suggested that perhaps Hillary Clinton, should replace Joe Biden as Vice President. Let's face it, tactful diplomacy,  is not exactly old Joe's strong suit is it? I have to say I don't look for this to happen. Obama in his obvious and abundant arrogance will not replace him because he would then be force to admit that choosing Biden to be Vice President was a mistake in the first place. Trying to tell a liberal they may have made a mistake or trying to tell a liberal anything for that matter is indeed an exercise in futility.I think then Obama,  will be content to abide with Biden at the White House but perhaps Obama, should keep his number one attack dog Joe Biden, on a very short leash or just leave him chained up in the yard at the White House! as always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.

Selective Ignorance.

  I am constantly amazed at the level of unabashed corruption that pervades politics today.What I find even more amazing however is the depths some in politics will most willing stoop to to hurt a political opponent to gain political advantage. As bad as I find this practice what remains even worse is the selective ignorance some in politics conveniently manage to acquire the moment their political tactics back fire and they are found to be caught in a obvious lie.
  Recently I watched the news and I was caught up in utter amazement as I heard  Deborah Wassermann Schultz, totally deny any knowledge of the party affiliation of the super Pac Priorities USA despite the fact that the interviewer reminded her that it is ran by Barack Obama's former White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton. Burton of course is an out spoken democrat! I sometimes wonder if Congresswoman  Schultz, is related to Sargent Schultz, of TVs Hogan's Heroes after all they both have the same last name and they always claim to know nothing when ever they are confronted a direct question that if honestly answered could  tend to be embarrassing. I will admit, there are times, when I am not at all sure that Congresswoman Schultz,s selective ignorance is necessarily all that selective. Without a doubt, Congresswoman Schultz is indeed a committed liberal and after listening to her on a number of occasions like most liberals I believe she should defiantly be committed in the nearest funny farm that can be found! Seriously though,  when I hear liberals,  try to push their more the obvious political agendas in the media and the press I am left to wonder just how stupid they think the American people really are. Anyone with any reasonable intelligence knows,  no action taken by Mitt Romney, while at Bane Capital had anything to do with the death of a former steel workers wife Romney, was long gone for quite some time when this man's wife died and he admits he was offered a buy out option. You don't have to be any kind of political genius to see this add was a set with the intention of politically, destroying Mitt Romney's character. Liberals have no character so I suppose political stunts like this are to be expected. When I consider the wisdom of liberals and that in and of it's self is a contradiction of terms, I am often reminded of what the Bible, says in Romans 1:22 the passage reads as follows;"Professing themselves to be wise they became fools." I hope Paul Ryan,  is prepared for the gutter political tactics that the liberal democrats have clearly shown they are so much more than willing to use. Things, I thought I Would Never See In America.

  I love this country, and to me this country on it's worst day, is still the greatest nation the world has ever known. I must confess to you however as great as this country may be there are certain things happening now I thought I would never live to see in this country. Today,  once again for the third time in the last month I turn on the news only to hear that another shooting has taken place in College Station Texas,  near Texas,  A&M. My daughter,  is afraid now and she ask me is everybody in this country going to have to start packing  a gun. I tell her I don't know but I don't think so.Then she asked if guns were going to be outlawed  here and I said I hope not because then only out laws would have guns and city police departments would be overrun and have all that they could handle. Then she asked what's the answer? I said at the moment I don't know then she said,"Daddy, the whole world sure needs Jesus", and I said, it sure does! I never thought my daughter would be afraid and be gin to wonder if there is any place she can go and not have to be afraid  some psychopath   is going to starting shooting people.
  I wish I could tell my daughter that things in this country and in American,  society in general were going to get better. The truth is however, the Bible, says, in II Timothy 3:16 just exactly, how the world will be as humanity faces what is often called the last days the passage reads as follows; "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived." Therefore, as much as the liberal progressives want to say that this country or the world for that matter, is getting better the truth is is is going to continue to deteriorate. The only thing I can hope for then is that if enough Christians can pray and this nation can repent and return to the God of our fathers perhaps God,  in his mercy may at least slow down  the moral deterioration in this nation. I know one thing,  I have never been so thankful to be a Christian in all my life. and I am happy that my wife and daughter have the lasting peace that only comes by knowing Jesus. Sometimes,  I don't know how those that don't can live in the perilous times we find ourselves living in. What a friend we have in Jesus, what a friend, indeed. God's Gift For Your Birthday.

  My daughter is having a birthday today. She is ten years old now. Each day as I watch her grow I am amazed at just how quickly time passes. When I think back on it now you know,  it just seems like yesterday, I was holding her and rocking her to sleep. I also know it will seem like a sudden tomorrow and she will be grown married with a family and a life of her own.
  I realize there is still so many things I have left to teach her. Sometimes, I wish time would slow down or stand still. I know it won't however, the Bible Says, in James 4:14" Where as ye know not what shall be on the morrow for what is your life it is even a vapor that appears  for a little time and than vanishes away." As I remember this passage, I am reminded  of the words to a  hymn  I have heard sung in church the words are as follows;" Only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last."
 As a Christian,  I must use the short time God,  has given me on this earth to witness for Christ,  and seek to make a lasting difference both in the life of my wife and daughter and also in the lives of others.Some,  who may read these words may not know Christ, to you I would say this Jesus Christ,  died for you and your life is quickly passing repent  of your sin and accept the gift of God's son Jesus Christ, as your saviour then you will be reborn into the family of God and that my friend is the most important birthday anyone can ever have. Romney, Ryan, Responsible Government Returns.

  After weeks of anticipation Mitt Romney,  chooses Paul Ryan, as his running mate. I have no doubt that Paul Ryan knows all to well that he is a man with a target on his back. I can almost hear the liberal media licking there chops as they plan their first attack. I don't like liberals but they are predictable to be unpredictable liberals would have to come up with new original ideas. Oh that's right they're into recycling that why they keep using the same ideas over and over again even if they didn't work the first time!
  With the selection of Ryan, Romney,  reaffirms his call for a return to reasonable but limited spending and responsible government. The liberals,  no doubt will seek to paint Ryan,  as a person who wants to destroy the middle class, deny education to college students for sake seniors citizens by destroying Medicare. None of these allegations are true of course but liberals have never really been concerned with truth.The facts are these Paul Ryan, will attempt to put this nation back on a path of economic sanity. Let's not kid our selves  however this will be anything but easy and some painful sacrifices will have to be made in government spending particularly in the area of entitlement spending. The question then becomes just how serious are the American people when it comes to cutting federal spending? What happens if Ryan's plan calls for a ten percent cut across the board cut  in all federal spending? Will seniors be willing to have their Social Security checks cut by ten percent? What if college loan amounts are cut ten percent? What if Medicare is cut ten percent? How about a ten percent cut in disability payments? Will the American,  people be willing to accept these kind of personal sacrifices? I don't no . Talking,  about sacrifices is one thing actually putting them in to practice,  that's something else.Why do I have this crazy feeling that the minute cuts like this go into affect streets all over the nation will be packed with protesters  so much so that it will make occupy Wall Street,  look like Sunday school! Remember the riots in Greece? Well, get ready because they could very well come here the truth is if responsible government spending sacrifices aren't made and soon America, will be Greece,  in less  ten years.
  Paul Ryan,  has a responsible approach to government spending but unless Americans are truly willing to roll up their sleeves and make some hard sacrifices and tighten their belts while America, makes some very necessary economic adjustments all  the economic plans in the world won't save this nation from the pending doom of economic disaster. Liberals many of whom were children of the sixties need to stop acting like spoiled children and grow up! The sixties for much of the liberal counter cultural was a ten year all night party that we are still paying for  today. Johnson's great society while Nobel in intent, has turned out not to be so great and the government piper is now waiting to be paid.Should Americans, be unwilling to face the tough economic choices that now loom be fore us believe me Americans,  will pay the piper and the price will be our existence as a free economic nation. There Is A Time To Stand And Fight!

  Someone has said the only thing that is consistent in politics is that a politician's  position on almost  any  issue will constantly change I  grow weary of politicians who say one thing and then do another. I am reminded of these words from Thomas Jefferson, he said the following;"I never believed there was one code of morality for a public and another for a private man." President Obama,  tells  the American people that leaders in government should learn to be more civil as they  conduct their political business in Washington.Yet, at the same time Obama has no problem letting his super Pac practically accuse Mitt Romney,of murder because a man's wife died after he was laid off due to his steel factory closing and he then supposedly, had no health insurance to treat her cancer. Yes, I must say that is a very civil way to treat a political opponent.
  As a Christian,  I can only imagine how hard it must be to be a Christian,  and a politician at the same time if only because those two words put together are all to often a contradiction of terms! That's why Luke 6:29 at times can be one one the hardest  verses in the Bible,  for a Christian,  to live  by. the scripture passage reads this way,"And unto him that smiteth thee on one cheek offer also the other. And him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat  also."
  I realize that in keeping with this principal no doubt Mitt Romney,  is trying to resist the temptation to sling political mud as it were I know he wants to take the high road and stay above the fray  and be the bigger man. In politics however,  it is much like a boxing match you can dodge and waive for a while but sooner or later your gonna get it and if you don't throw a punch you will either get beat to death or throw in the towel and stop the fight. That is why I feel Mitt,  must fight these  political smear tactics from Obama and he better find some good counter punches and soon. Mitt,  is fighting for this nations economic survival so in one sense he's fighting for all of us at least all of us with conservative economic sanity! the bottom line is Mitt had better take his own advice that he gave to Harry Reid. Mitt, better put his dukes up or Obama,  will shut him up by political knock out and this for this nation it will be lights out! Deadly Poison.

  As a person who studies American history,  I often enjoy reading various quotes from America's founding fathers.I found these words from John Adams, to be quite thought provoking his words are as follows;"If ever time should come when vain aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government our country will stand in need of it's experienced patriots to prevent it's ruin." I am afraid if this nations current president is reelected our country will indeed come to ruin.I hope America, can still be found to have some men and women of good moral character. I confess to you however that in the area of politics, it is often very hard to find men and women of good character.
  When I consider the present political campaign that is being conducted by  those who would seek to reelect President Obama, I am constantly amazed at what they are willing to say or do just to win Obama's reelection.  Calling into question a persons political policies or beliefs  is one thing seeking to destroy a persons character and reputation that's something else.I know as a Christian,  the tongue and the way it is used is a lot like the way a person may use fire. The same fire that warms your home on a cold evening could burn your house to the ground if fire is not used properly. The same can be said for the tongue the words a person may speak can either build someone up or tear some one down one thing is sure words matter and there affect is often permanent and once certain words are said they cannot be easily taken back by just saying I misspoke or I;m sorry.
  The Bible,  says in James 3-8" But the tongue can no man tame it is an unruly evil full of deadly poison." In other words, when one destroys a persons reputation it's almost as if you took someones life because even if slanderous charges are later shown to be false the damage they have already done is permanent and words can never completely be withdrawn.Obama,  is seeking to destroy Mitt Romney's reputation just to gain reelection. Personally, even if it works I think it's a terrible way to win and it says alot about President Obama. I suppose if his tactics work and he wins reelection it will also say a great deal about the American people as always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words to think on.

Since When Was There Ever A Line In Politics?

  Some one has said, "If you don't like the lie a politician tells you today wait they will tell you a better one tomorrow." I should add that often much of the press and the media have been rather loose with the truth. Thomas Jefferson,  was said to have said  the following;"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers." I can only imagine what Thomas Jefferson would think of the press and the media today politically speaking. Oh I know lies and politics go together like beans and franks peanut butter and jelly Oreos and milk and taxes and liberals! The question is does that make it right?
  As a Christian, I know the Bible,  says,  in Exodus 20:16 "Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor."That's the ninth commandments for those of you who may not know it. I realize the Ten Commandments aren't as popular or as visible in American society as they used to be.Here is a mystery, almost every politician will tell you their faith is important to them and what ever office they may be running for  more often than not they will end each speech they give with the phase God,  bless America. Could it be that those words have become only a phase? How can any politician think God,  will bless them and what does it say about their faith in God,  if thy lie about their opponent in order to get elected?
  A super PAC has placed  a political add on the air recently that all but accuses Mitt Romney for the death of a poor mans wife because he lost his health insurance when he lost his job at Bain Capital and as a result the mans wife died of cancer because he could not afford to pay for her to be treated the conclusion is then if Mitt Romney when he ran Bain Capital had not laid this man off the mans wife would still be alive so the death of this mans wife is Mitt Romney's fault. In spite of the fact that several fact checkers have proven this add to be completely false don't look for Obama to tell the super PAC to pull the add. If Obama, allows Harry Reid, to make unproven allegations concerning Romney's taxes,  on the Senate floor one can not expect he will tell the super PAC to stop running the add. I don't like it when any politician does this.and as a Christian, I am left to wonder is there no line or boundary politicians won't cross? and then I pause and ask my self, since when has there ever been a line in politics? When All Else Fails, Start Name Calling!

  I have never thought much of those who have to resort to name calling to defend themselves.I admit when I see this tactic used in politics my trust in our political system is seriously diminished. I feel that politics is often reduced to a bad day in kindergarten when all the opposing sides  can do is resort to calling each other names. I found these words from  President Abraham Lincoln, to be quite interesting and they serve as the inspiration for the reason I an writing on this subject Lincoln, said, the following;"To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men." I agree with President Lincoln, As Americans, we have an obligation to speak up when some one is being treated unfairly. Here is what I mean Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, call Mitt Romney,  a tax cheat with no evidence or proof of any kind in fact if the average American,  dared to call some one a tax cheat with out proof that person could be sued for slander but I guess slander is just part of  liberal politics.
 President Obama, has now taken it upon himself to imply that Mitt Romney,  is some sort of modern day Robin Hood, but before Obama, hangs that label around Mitt Romney's neck I feel Obama,  should examine his own record. here we go, in the first place,  Obama, has added five trillion dollars to the nations debt that is stealing our children's and grand children's  future. Secondly, Obama,  has not made it much easier for illegal immigrants,  to go to college in fact Americans,  will pay more than those who are here illegally will that means then,  that in a sense Obama,  is helping illegal immigrants to steal tuition money from Americans. Obama,  has now made it much easier for folks to receive welfare, they don't even have to be looking for work or going to school or taking any kind of job training.Isn't this kind of policy stealing from  the American taxpayer? What about the various solar companies Solyndra, and Abound Power,  among them that Obama,  had the government invest  billions of taxpayer dollars in only to have then go bankrupt. I don't recall Obama, asking they American people if he could invest our tax dollars into these companies and do you think the money will ever  all be repaid? If you don't put the money back especially when you didn't ask the American people in the first place, isn't that the same as stealing? Obama care,  will cut Medicare by  500 billion dollars over ten years isn't that a form of stealing? Just this week Americans,  found out that in the future when they retire they won't receive as much money in Social Security,  benefits as they paid in. Why? What happened to the funds in Social Security? You don't suppose those funds have been misappropriated  do you? If they have,  isn't that a form of stealing? Before Obama,  accuses Mitt Romney,  of being Robin Hood,  perhaps he should make sure the same could not be said of him. As always my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.

By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them.

  It has been said, that what comes out of a persons mouth is usually a reflection of what is in their heart. The Bible,  makes this point very clear in Matthew 12:34. Jesus,  is scolding the religious leaders of his day and he says, the following;"O generation of vipers, how can ye being evil speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Permit me for  a moment, to try and understand something. In the last two weeks  fourteen people died at the hands of a mad man just because they picked the wrong time to go to the movies.  Recently,  seven people have been killed  because  they went to their temple to worship and as a result,  they were shot. These days, it seems,  kids can't even go to school without armed guards.  The entire middle east,  is poised to start a third world war.  A  nation wide drought has all but wiped out the nations corn and wheat crops which means food cost will rise and gas prices are going back up.  The nations unemployment  is stuck at 8.3.  The economy is a mess  and the only thing the liberal democrats and Harry Reid,  are worried about is if Mitt Romney,  paid his taxes or not.
  The Idea, that Harry Reid,  the Senate Majority Leader, would stand on the floor of the United States Senate and suggest that Mitt Romney, had paid no taxes for ten years and refuse to name his source nor offer any proof to substantiate his claim is a disgrace! The fact that Nancy Pelosi, has come out supporting Harry Reid is no surprise to me  however,  the Idea, that Nancy Pelosy, had a thought is a real surprise to me because I'm sure if Nancy Pelosi,  had a thought it was a first time experience for her and that then would make such an experience indeed note worthy. Nancy Pelosi,  intellectual capacity, reminds me a lot of television these days both are a vast wasteland.
  You know  Hitler, once said, " If you tell a lie long enough and loud enough the people will believe it." I am quite sure Harry Reid,  would never want to be compared to Hitler, Harry Reid, seems to be inspired and all to willing to use Hitlers tactics.The Bible says in Matthew7: 20 "By their fruits ye shall know them. It is no wonder then that Jesus, in Matthew 12:34  refereed to people who act self righteous but speak only evil of others as a generation of vipers and I must say, the way Harry Reid spreads poisonous lies he does remind me of a snake. The sad truth is, he has become a man possessed by wickedness and a man obsessed with power and such a man shall be brought down,  by his own doing. Yes, Jesus,  said, "By their fruits ye shall know them and Harry Reid serves as constant reminder of the kind of person I would never wish to be. Nothing Says, I Love You, Like Chocolate Milk.

  I have been so blessed, God,  has seen fit to bless me with a wonderful wife and a daughter who  has brought so much joy to my life, I can scarcely find the right words to  fully express what she means to her mother and I. One of thing things my daughter loves is chocolate milk.I confess to you that I also love chocolate milk. As much as I love chocolate milk, if their is only one glass of chocolate milk left to pour guess who gets it? Your right my daughter because as much as I may love chocolate milk I love my daughter even more. I love to see the joy on her face as she drinks one  of the best drinks God,  ever made know to man chocolate milk! I am the granted an even greater joy, the joy of seeing the joy on my daughters face and knowing I helped put it there by choosing to let her have the last glass of chocolate milk. I know my joy is not unique and any decent parent worth their salt would gladly sacrifice anything for their children.
  As a Christian,  I know God,  who is my father in Heaven, loves to give good things to me. The Bible, makes this basic truth quite clear in Matthew 7: 9-11 the scripture reads as follows;"Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more will your father in Heaven give good things to them that ask him." In this scripture passage Jesus, is letting his followers know that God delights in meeting the needs of his children.God,  will always meet the needs of his children and he will not only give us what we need but the right amount of what we need and just when  or as we need it. I am but a man made of carnal flesh because of this if I am not careful I may fail to meet my daughters needs correctly. Here is what I mean, what happens if I as a father because I love my daughter so much I spoil her and let her drink too much chocolate milk and she gets a stomach ache as a result of my  willingness,  to over indulge her desire for chocolate milk. I may have only wanted to make her happy but because I am only a human being I may not always do that which is best for my daughter no matter how much I may want to or wish that I could.
  As a Christian,  however, I know God,  my heavenly father will always want what is best for me and if I will trust him to meet my needs not only will he meet my needs but he will supply my needs  over and above and beyond what I could ever ask or  think.When God,  meets a need can count on him to get right because every perfect gift is from God and Gods love for his children is a perfect love. As a father, as much as I may love my daughter,  because I have human weaknesses my love for my daughter may not always be perfect but Gods love for his children will always be perfect and thus always given in just the right way and in just the right amount, and at just the right time. I am so glad as a Christian, I can trust God to provide what I need and do what is best for me. Sometimes even God gives his children extra special things. The same way I love giving my daughter extra special things and to my daughter , nothing says, I love you like chocolate milk. Technology Is Great, But There Are Things I Miss.

  I have been know to visit the past from time to time by viewing old clips about the forties and fifties on You Tube. I know American society, has made many advancements over the years and I certainly enjoy many of them. I enjoy a TV remote but I remember when you had to get up to change your TV channel. I enjoy listening to my collection of music compact disk the music quality and sound is a great deal better than then those old records you sometimes over stacked on your stereo record player and that would cause the record needle to skip and scratch your record.I enjoy my color TV, but I remember black and white televisions with weird rabbit ear antennas you had to often hold just right to get any kind of clear reception. and I remember those big TV tubes in the back you had to replace about every six months or the picture would either go black or fade to a straight or flat line. Yes, there can be no doubt things have definitely improved especially in the last forty or fifty years and I not saying I would want to go back to those days  but there are some this about those days I really miss.
  Remember when super time meant family time? I remember sitting around my kitchen table many times and eating and laughing as each one in my family shared something that happened in there day. These days that doesn't happen much any more and most parents really can't  talk with there children  unless they know how to text message  them on their cell phone.You know, when I hear teens tell there parents that they are busy talking to their BF I think that's best friend in text talk and then the teens say to the parents Talk 2U later that's not a real conversation. Call me old fashioned, but when a teens friends know more about what's going on in their life than a parent does well, let's just say I miss real family communication. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if America suffered a nation wide black out and no one had electricity at least then maybe families might have time to really talk to each other. You know I can tell you I miss talking to my dad he's gone now and they only thing I regret is that I didn't make more time to talk with him more. If I could say anything  to the youth of today it would be this don't take the unconditional love of  your parents for granted. You will not always have them and it's only now in my fifties that I realize my parents really were my BFFL  that's best friend for life for those who aren't text savvy. America's All Too Consistent Tragedy.

  As a patriot, who loves my country, I will confess to you there are times when I weep for this nation. I weep because I wonder if there is any hope left for America. I look around and all too often I see a nation consumed with greed and totally ravished by moral decay. I marvel at the grace of God. I am amazed how merciful and patient God,  has been with this nation. I wonder when God's patience will come to an end?  I wonder if I will live to see the fall and total destruction of this nation?
  Even now, as I ponder this question I remember my American history, and realize that America has been at this crossroads  of crisis before and men far wiser and far greater than I will ever be have considered  this same question. I came across a Thanksgiving Proclamation speech given by President Abraham Lincoln,  in November of 1863. America,  was a nation divided by war and though his speech was very appreciate for this time period in our nations history, as I read the speech it seemed as though he could just as easily given this Thanksgiving Proclamation speech today. He said the following;"We have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, to proud to pray to the God that made us."
  As I read these words I thought to my self  these words could very easily describe America today. America,  has become rich and powerful and at times seems to be in need of nothing not even God. I fear that when God,  finally pronounces his final judgement on America,  as a nation and as a  result, this county collapses in ruin we will then look back and have to conclude  that the reason our nation fell was quite clear  and our nations epitaph will  be that forgetting God,  was America's all too consistent tragedy.  As always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.

No Harm, No Fowl A Victory Of Free Speech.

  The Constitution of the United States,  guarantees every American,  the right of freedom of speech. many Americans, exercised there right of free speech all across this nation yesterday as a  record number of patrons visited there local Chick-Fil-A and ordered  up a delicious Chick- Fil- A sandwich. the purpose of this exercise of personal freedom is quite clear everyone who owns a business, has a right to his or her personal opinion  on  gay marriage. CEO Dan Kathy, committed no crime by stating that he was in favor of the traditional definition of marriage. No doubt, the liberals,  on the far left in the press and the media thought that public pressure from three of the nations top liberal mayors would hurt Chick-Fil-A's bottom line. I suppose you could say,they certainly had a tremendous affect on Chick-Fil-A's business that is if one considers record sales a negative affect. As I see it, the liberals in the press and the media were certainly hoping that public pressure would cause CEO Dan Cathy, to suffer shall we say a very foul experience  as far as his company's profit margin was concerned, as it turns out however,  it appears that Chick-Fil-A and CEO Dan Cathy,  in particular suffered no harm  no foul and Chick-Fil-A's business couldn't be better it seems there are a great deal of folks who are fans of Chick-Fil-A and many of them  showed up yesterday all across this nation in support of Dan Kathy's right of free speech. A lot of people did buy a Chick-Fil-A sandwich now that's my kind of fowl experience!
  As early as tomorrow, may gay couples, many of which I wish would just fly the coup, will protest all across the country by standing in front of Chick-Fil-A restaurants and kissing in public now that's what I call a real foul expression of their freedom of speech but it is their right  to exercise their freedom of speech in this way and when they do I think it will go along way in practically assuring Mitt Romney's election as this nations president in November. Freedom of speech is always worth fighting for if we don't many in this country especially Christians, could lose there right of  free speech and don't kid yourself liberal progressives,  in the press and the media would just love that! Government,  is already trying to tell Christians,  what they can and cannot say just go into many of the department stores during the holidays and try to wish the sales clerks who work there a Merry Christmas. One would almost think such a greeting in it's self was a foul expression! These words from Thomas Paine, caught my eye for they express his views on personal liberty his words are as follows;"It is the duty of the patriot, to protect his country from it's government."
  I don't know that tomorrow's protest by many in the gay community will accomplish anything it may even strengthen the conservative and independent vote in this country the idea that it is going to hurt conservative traditional  Christians, dare I say it demonstrates a real fallacy, in their thinking. I wonder if it would be wrong to pray for foul weather tomorrow about the time of the gay protest? I suppose it would be wrong besides, it hasn't rained in this part of the country for a while now in fact to quote Shakespeare, "So fair and foul a  day, I have not seen." and tomorrow promises to be no different. For all of you who are proponents of proper grammar who may read  this blog the I meant to spell the word fowl the way I did in the title. Are We There Yet?

  As a Christian, I pray for America. I pray for our leaders in government. I must confess however there are times when I really wonder how much time America has left as a nation. I find my self afraid that America, has all but abandoned her Christian roots. I was reading in the Bible in the book of Genesis recently when a particular passage in Genesis, chapter six caught my eye. The passage in Genesis, 6:5 reads as follows; "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Notice the phase was only evil continually. Sometimes, when I consider these words, as a Christian,  I find myself asking God, Is America, there yet? When God looks at America now I wonder if he would observe this nation and have to conclude that every imagination in the hearts of the citizens in American now, is only evil continually. Why would I wonder this? I'll tell you. Turn on your TV and more often than not programs that promote varying degrees of an immoral life style can be easily found there. Turn on your radio and listen America's youth is being constantly bombarded with songs that have words that openly encourage every  manner of known  immorality.America's public school system, is filling the minds of the youth of this nation with a  totally secular philosophy. Many schools in the inner cities aren't even safe to attend because class room violence is a common occurrence. Teen pregnancy is on  the rise as well. The family,  is under attack in America. The nations divorce rate is fast approaching nearly, 70%. Much of this nations government is corrupt if you consider any government agency if you look long enough you can see government waste in nearly any government agency   here are just a few the Department of  Energy, has wasted billions of taxpayers money on various solar companies that have gone bankrupt. The GSA is wasting money at an alarming rate, both Social Security and Medicare,  are bankrupt and no doubt money is defiantly being misappropriated in both of those programs and all of this excess spending only adds to the nations national debt that will exceed 16 trillion dollars by the end of this month. As If all of this wasn't bad enough, the Democratic Party,  is pleased to announce that the acceptance of gay marriage will be a part of their  plat form at their upcoming convention this September. I can only say that what the Democratic Party,  is willing to accept in American culture  God,  calls such a practice,  an abomination!
  The founding fathers,  warned Americans,  not to take Gods' patience for granted Thomas Jefferson,  said the following;"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just and his justice cannot sleep forever." Abraham Lincoln, expressed his thoughts on the survival of America, as a nation with these words, "America, will never be destroyed from without. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed our selves." I'm afraid if I ask God, if every imagination of the thoughts of many in America is only evil continually in other words God, are we there yet? I'm afraid not only would he say yes, but he would hasten to add that America, has been there now for a long time.  I pray it is not too late for America. One thing is sure as Jefferson,  said in so many words God, will not wait forever for America to repent. As always, my friends, these thoughts remain, just, some words, to think on.
